Why we did it

We didn’t set out to build just another inflatable obstacle course. The Gauntlet was designed for something people could step into, something that pulls you out of the ordinary and drops you straight into the moment.

Shared experiences

At its core, The Gauntlet is about shared experiences. For spectators and participants. It’s not perfect runs, but real ones. The kind where you try, laugh, try again and somehow end up enjoying it more the second time.

Whether it’s a school event, corporate function or large-scale activation, The Gauntlet is built as an inflatable obstacle course that works at scale.

Behind the design

It’s designed to be taken on in your own way, but never feel predictable. Challenging, but never intimidating. Whether you’re racing your friends, helping your child over an obstacle, or just figuring it out as you go, everyone finds their own way through The Gauntlet.

Behind the scenes, there’s a team making sure it all runs safely, smoothly and exactly as it should — so that on the surface, it can feel a little unpredictable.

How big is The Gauntlet?

Let’s put it into perspective. 2,625 square metres of obstacles, structure and movement. 21 sections. Each section weighs between 500 and 1,000kgs. Two trucks just to get it there. 1 crane. Lots of muscles…

It doesn’t arrive quietly. It builds. Eight hours of setup. 34 blowers. Piece by piece, the space changes.

And then it’s there. Rising up to 7 metres at its highest point. Wide. Loud. Impossible to ignore. Built to move up to 250 people at a time.

You don’t walk past it. You end up in it.

Built for big. Designed for safety

The Gauntlet is built for scale, and managed with safety at its core. We work alongside experienced event safety professionals, medical teams and security personnel to ensure every setup meets recognised South African requirements, supported by international best practices for large-scale events.

Each event is overseen by our certified Event Safety Officer, with trained marshals positioned throughout the course to guide participants, manage flow and respond where needed.

From structured setup and safety checks, to controlled entry, supervision and clear operating procedures, every detail is considered before the first person steps onto the course. Because when something is this big, it has to be done properly.
